Costa Rica is one of the most beautiful and natural places to visit on this planet. I have visited and lived there myself. Back in 1995 I drove from Miami, FL all the way to Cartago, Costa Rica. It took me 6 days to get there and it was a total of 3,692 miles. And yes, it was one hell of a road trip but I'm glad that I did it. I remember crossing the Mexican border at Brownsville, TX and to cross Mexico it took a long two and a half days driving 15 hours a day.

That was good because half of the voyage had been completed. After crossing Mexico I entered Guatemala then El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and then finally, COSTA RICA!!! It was such a long journey that I felt blessed when I crossed into the Costa Rican border. You really need to do some research online before making a journey like this one.

The internet was not readily available at that time to do any sort of research but that would not have stopped me from doing it. At that time I was going through a divorce and I was desperate for a big change of scenery or adventure in my life and a road trip to Costa Rica was the best idea I could think of. Hence, I do have family in Costa Rica because my mother was born and raised there so I had places to live and visit as well.

It was good to to be there because I witnessed so much much kindness from the people there that I could not believe that so much kindness existed on this planet.
